 love the expresiveness of the shot and it being in b&w only enhances it   -- He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. The end result is simply Beautiful, beautiful indeed, kudos!  -- *Don't take life too seriously; you'll never get out of it alive <-- I'm trying...  well... why won't something that beautiful want to stay live??? hahaha. The picture is fabulous. I love the dark to light ratio and that the eye is emphasized in the light! The expression is exactly the title... expressing a new drive to take on the future!!!

 The lighting is fantastic. Could be a bit much on the eye makeup (unless it was intentional, in which case pay no mind), I would consider cropping to make it a bit tighter. Overall excellent b&w work.

I love the colored one too I know it is just my opinion but don't you think the eye makeup helps bring out the negative (black) in the positive... guess that is why I love the photo so much... just wondering

Captivating.
Awe-inspiring.
This image is amazing. The expression on her face is remarkable; so expressive and so natural. The detail in the eyes is exceptional, they are so captivating, they really pull you in to the image. The lips are so soft and they portray an innocent and perhaps a hint of a darker, cheeky side.
The black and white is used flawlessly to accentuate - through highlights, shadows, and tone - the expression, but also patterns and textures. The contrast is flawless.
Lastly, the cropping is very unusual, but works marvellously with the image to portray a feeling of perhaps instability and other strong emotions.
Brilliant!
